In the Gaza Strip, the annihilation has become so frequent that building, destroying, and (re)constructing are happening at the same time. Inconsistencies between home as an ideal and as a lived experience affect how an individual in conflictual surroundings defines home. Dramatic social changes justify the investigation of the changing image of home and of the family ideal in current Gaza society.
