More than half of the population is under eighteen and thus one finds many children and young people in the street. A typical neighbourhood of extended family cluster-type houses in the urban areas of Gaza has a lively street life. Furthermore, and as a direct impact of overcrowding in the urban environment, children are running and playing in the streets.
